Doodle 4 Google 2010
At Google we like to have a little bit of fun with our corporate logo by redesigning it from time to time. This Google 'doodle' is a fun way for us to celebrate different events and people.
Doodle 4 Google is a competition where we invite young people to design the Google logo in their very own style based on a different theme. This year our theme was 'My Dream for India'. We called all young doodlers in India to describe their vision for the future of India using a doodle. The competition was open to all students in India from standard 1 to 10.
After several shortlisting rounds we had our finalists. These doodles were then put up for a public voting round to help pick our three group winners. The doodle with the most votes in each group was announced the winner. Our doodlers Dennis Hwang and Jennifer Hom then picked the one national winner that became the Google doodle on Children's Day and was displayed on our home page, www.google.co.in on November 14, 2010.
Thank you to all of you who participated! We're looking forward to next year!
